The engine lineup of Peugeot Partner is simple but performs well

The Peugeot Partner is a versatile and practical designed five-door van, with low running cost and good handling it is affordable choice for a budget conscious family.

Though there is a variety of MPVs produced and marketed by good names, but the Peugeot partner is a very practical and economical vehicle of its class. Its look, style and layout have great resemblance with its sister, Citroen Berlingo. The spacious and wide interior of Peugeot Partner is unique in its class.

It is considered as in the middle of company’s tiny Bipper and mid-sized Expert. There are some competent rivals available in the market such as the Fiat Doblo, Ford Transit Connect and the Volkswagen Caddy, but the Peugeot Partner has its own worth due to its practicality.

There are two different lengths L1 and L2 available in Peugeot Partner, but both of them sit on the same, so the L2 stands out with its longer carrier.

The diesel engines are quite good in performance and fuel consumption

There is a single 1.6-litre BlueHDi Diesel Engine with three different outputs available in Peugeot Partner. The 75bhp 1.6-litre four-cylinder 8Valve HDi version with 136lb/ft torque is capable to take this van from 0-62m/h in 16.6 seconds with top speed of 94m/h. This version gives 66m/g of fuel average with 139g/km of CO2 emissions.

There is a 100bhp 1.6-litre diesel engine. It produces 187lb/ft of torque. It is used in a seven-seat trim level. It is a powerful version which takes the Peugeot partner from 0-62m/h in 13.0 seconds with top speed of 101m/h. This is a fuel efficient version also, achieves 68m/g with 109g/km of CO2 emissions.

Third version in 1.6-litre diesel engine is available with 120bhp and 120lb/ft torque. Its top speed is 110m/h and it takes 11.4 seconds to get from 0-62m/h. Though it is a four-cylinder 16 Valve version, but it maintains a good fuel average of 64m/g with 115g/km of CO2 emissions. All diesel engines are equipped with six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive.

 Peugeot Partner Engine Range

Peugeot Partner starts its petrol engines range with 1.6-litre four-cylinder VTi engine. It is capable to produce 98bhp and 112lb/ft torque. This engine takes this MPV from 0-62m/h in 14.2 second with top speed of 102m/h. It is not an impressive speed, but in MPVs, it is acceptable with 42m/g of fuel average. It emits 155g/km of CO2.
