An exquisite vehicle for a classy ride

Want to talk about a car that is well styled from inside out and have an excellent handling? Let’s talk about Citroen C4 to give ourselves a treat to know a car which is perfect in many ways to enjoy riding whether you are a driver or a passenger. You will love to have a car like Citroen C4 and make your journey filled with fun every day.

Engine Power:

Citroen C4 comes with four engine options; two diesels and two petrol. The petrol side have a 1.2-liter Pure Tech three-cylinder engine that gives two power choices. In the entry level is a 109bhp engine with 5-speed manual gear box. Moving a little higher gives you 129bhp with six-speed auto sequential and stop-start option. Although the power generated is different in both the cases, but performance is almost equal with a difference of just one second.

In the diesel range, there are two 1.6-Litre BlueHDi units’ four-cylinder engines. The 98bhp comes with a five-speed gear box with the top speed of 111mph. The second option is of 118bhp with six-speed manual or sequential-auto gearbox.

Drive and Handling:

The comfort the range of engines provide is outstanding, but it proves to be on the negative side as it slows down the response of engine on high bumps and uneven surfaced roads. The suspension is smooth and you don’t feel a single knock neither in the driver’s position nor passenger side. The car is not balanced and maintaining equilibrium at turns and bumps is impossible.

This is a major drawback that ruins the ride comfort of this car. The steering jerks back violently in case of jumps and bumps, so if you are holding it tightly then you are ok, but in case of loose grip it will make it impossible to control the movement and put the car back to its comfort zone. The three-cylinder 130 tech gives a fine performance with impressive kick off and refinement and great fuel economy. The only drawback is the automatic gearbox that is jerky when changing, instead the manual gearbox is much better.

Reliability and Safety Features:

The car is not as safe as the present cars are as its rivals, although the car received five stars back in 2010 for its safety features but since then the test has grown tougher. In standard, the car lacks even the necessary autonomous braking system, but there is an option of plus pack that can be installed on demand in New C4. It becomes expensive but at least you have your safety in the vehicle you are to ride throughout the day.

As far as reliability is concerned, it is an old car now and the buyer’s reviews on its reliable parts supports it well. One thing is sure, that if this car is in the market with minor facelifts, it has something that is keeping it present in the market since this long.

Apart from the negative aspects which can be ignored, this car proves itself to be better in many other ways to remain in the line-up.
